Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Dec 8, 2010 #4 I'm not sure that it can be implemented at all. What exactly are you trying to achieve? Maybe it can be done in a different way.

Click to expand... Is it possible? 1. Write to /cache/recovery/command file 2. Reboot device into recovery mode 3. Get how much free space in /system 4. Read file from /system

Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Dec 8, 2010 #6 Reading and writing to files is possible with the File object. These folders are not accessible for unrooted phones. A reboot method can be added to the phone library easily. Not sure about finding the free space.

Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Dec 8, 2010 #9 I guess that you need to somehow run the application as the root user. Not sure how it can be done.
M m0narX Member Licensed User Longtime User Dec 8, 2010 #10 maybe you can create superuser library to access this functions? I think this library will be very popular and useful
