Hi guys,

I reached out to EREL and asked for his permission to create a Group in FaceBook to promote B4X, of course he said..... yes!
The group is created, as Public and moderated... for now there's only me, but I hope that soon, there will be many more...
So I invite you all to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/635067725570594 and help spread B4X farther!

If any of you think that you can be a moderator, I think we will need up to 2 moderator in addition to the 2 Admins (me and EREL)

Thank you all in advance!

I don't know what the Facebook group rules are, if allowed, it would probably be worth putting a link to the B4x.com website early in the about box so it can be seen on the main page and visitors don't have to search for it.

joining and Posting are now moderated, just to ensure people are joining the group for the right reasons!

20 members in 24h! That's not bad.... but I would expect a bit more from an over 100K member community!
Can we reach 100 by sunday?
It takes a "minimum" amount of members for a page to gain real traction and to be worth the time to post there!
We all want to spread the word about b4x, so now is the time to do it! Invite friends and fellow developers to the page!
Moderator roles will be considered once we reach 100 members, and anyone can already create content (moderated) for the page!
Who will be the first?

I think there are more people on b4x.com on Fridays.

Anyway, we should ask the Bots to sign up too 😁
that would bring the group page to a few million in no time.... but no content!
btw, I don't see you there, yet!!!

I have a little problem: FB account (which I almost never use) and B4X account have very different names
no kidding! have you noticed my FB name?
(when I signed up for B4X I was very fearful about the WEB; today I am less so and therefore I will get scammed more 😂).
Aren't we all!?

Everyone, don't be shy to claim your "specialist" status in our new FB Group!
you can PM with your FB name and I will add it, or you can ask directly in the FB group, and if I recognize you (which will be hard) I will accept it!

What benefit would we have? It is good to help spread B4X (but only if there were many members) but what use is it to us from a technical point of view?

The main objective of the group is to spread the word about B4X.
Becoming a "specialist " is more of a n acknowledgement of value of contribution

The main objective of the group is to spread the word about B4X.
I fear it will not be useful; in fact, it could even be counterproductive if there were not thousands of members.

One could discuss what strategies could be used to increase the spread of B4X.
Some could be:
  • adding inheritance
  • creating B4W (for WEB)
  • lying about the number of employees of Anywhere Software, making it appear that they are 1,751 😁
