could someone put up a simple RDC Mysql example with explanation. .. cz i have asked so many people and none seem to really know what/why/how...??

for eg...
what goes in serverIP or namr or Url
where to put DB name... passwords etc..

do i have to keep changing the config file for every Db?

can there be an example DB on a remote server that we can try stuff on???

buddy... i wouldnt be posting a request for help all over ... if i was receiving it... unlike before ... this time its been a week of begging and no one seems to know ... really weird...

you asked me for the errors and problems in ....
Tutorial Connect Android to MySQL Database Tutorial.
i've given them to you... still awaiting ... what is to be done...

now i have left my errors in the tutorial you have again indicated...
but its just to weird... unlike ever... no one seems to know whats going on with RDC...

please just clear this for me... cz its just consuming all my time...

I also have made a small DB on sql4.freesqldatabase.com... i have been give DB password...

so if you can just indicate to me how am i suppose to put what parameters where ... i can be on my way.. cz honestly.. no one seems to know
like...
do i have to edit the Server i made everytime there is a new DB?
or do i edit the Config.properties file everytime there is a new DB? etc etc...

thanx buddy

Have you followed the framework setup section of this post

From what I understand the RDC is a middle ware. I.E you have to setup RDC on a web connectable server of some sort. Then your app connects to RDC server and the the RDC server interacts with DB.

hey Barx.. thanx a lot.. what ever i have got right till now is thanx to you!... yeah.. i got what you said...

but im still getting errors... have posted them... one of them were similar to what Derez got... so i've written to him... lets see what he says.. and how he got around it...

my server is running... but my app keeps giving errors..
in the Browser test for the server... i get this error...

RemoteServer is running (Sat Dec 07 21:25:25 IST 2013)
java.sql.SQLException: An attempt by a client to checkout a Connection has timed out

so waiting for Derez... hope to get some clarity there.. cz he actually did have this same error...:)

You should have:

JdbcUrl=jdbc:mysql://sql4.freesqldatabase.com/sql$$$$$$?characterEncoding=utf8

Replace the $$$$$$ with the number part of your database name.
User=
Should be the username that was emailed to you.
Password =
Should be the password that was emailed to you.
