Android Question search view / designer script

Hi, just wondering if you have a view that doesn't have an element in the designer can you refer to it in the designer script to resize and position it?

Not sure how that would work? (search view is an example )

Not unless you transform it to a custom view.

However you can add a panel in the designer and then add the view to the panel in your code.
