I can choose screen size but the Platform field remains empty. There are a number of recommended files that I can't download and get the message: "Warning: Failed to read or create install properties file." Amongst the files that I can't download are: Android SDK Build-Tools 27.0.1 Android Emulator Can anyone suggest what is wrong? (I have installed Android Studio independently)

Just follow this tutorial https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/ready-to-run-sdk.99780/ You need to install Intel HAXM. Also you need to install a Android platform and its respective x86 system image to populate AVD manager platform dropdown. Upvote 0
