The main one is flexible and slow and the second one is less flexible and almost as fast as release code. Whenever possible* the fast pipeline is used. Up until now resumable subs were always executed in the slow pipeline as the fast pipeline haven't yet supported this feature. With the next versions of B4J, B4A and B4i the fast pipeline will support resumable subs and there are also other debugger related improvements. The performance gain can be huge. *possible means that there are no breakpoints in the sub and that the code is not "dirty". Last edited: Apr 27, 2018

Yes. There are currently no plans to support it as it is a mistake in 99% of the cases. You can start a new thread for further discussion.

ilan Expert Licensed User Longtime User May 1, 2018 #12 Will it also improove other libraries performance in debug mode? Like iSpritekit is running with very low framerate in debug mode. Thanx

The libraries code itself runs at the same speed in both modes as it is already compiled. The new optimization is related to resumable subs. If you are using resumable subs in your code then it will run faster.
