The designer does not notice if the color of a view has changed and will not be saved.

Just change the current color to transparent and save the layout.

This problem I have too. But its an old problem. You change the value and DONT PRESS ENTER only go to the menu
and save the layout, the value is not saved. Workarround is to Press ENTER after the change in the field
