strange that they split up Iphone and IOS programming. Which one is used for iPads then?

We all know that the dev account is the main issue for people not jumping onto the IOS train so that chart is not really a surprise.

The message of Erel's graph is quite clear. We should all abandon Android, Windows Phone, iPhone/iOS programming as they are all trending proportionally downward in the long term. The only search term that shows long term proportional growth is Arduino programming, which is where we should all be focusing.

Could possibly indicate that programmers are no longer searching for android/ios programming sites because they have: 1. advanced skills in these platforms and no longer needs to use google, 2. bookmarked their favorite sites and don't look for new ones via google. Using the same logic many programmers aren't familiar with Adruino hence use google to find more info. I don't believe any of these stats reflect end-user interest (ok maybe the porn one does).

I agree with @Roycefer and @JonPM.

Arduino seems to be in bucking, it is the only one that is growing.
On the other hand, it is much more likely that a child may grow, rather than an adult.

However, I am sure that the day when I'll publish an app, developers and users will be grappling with the telepathic computer technology

As I see it Android and iOS are here to stay for a long time. Maybe the hype is a bit weaker.

Don't take this graph too seriously. It is just some terms that I thought were relevant.
I think that before the iPad was available the term iPhone Programming was stronger. It was later replaced with iOS programming.

Arduino indeed looks interesting.
