Trying to get started

Installed sdk, java, etc. + trial program. Using Windows 7.

Followed tutorial but when I selected tools-run avd manager, I got the following message:
"An error occurred. The system cannot find the file specified"

Which file is being looked for? The files mentioned in other posts with similar problems are in the correct path. :sign0085:

Make sure to download SDK version 2.2 (level 8).
Also try to compile a program by pressing Alt + 2 (compiling without running). It will give you more information.
