Hi Everyone,

I would like to turn airplane/flight mode on and off at will in my app. Can you tell me which coding or library allows me to do it?

Thanks.

Hello,
It is no more allowed to change the Airplane Mode. It was possible before KitKat with the Toggle library. Now the System does nothing

Hi Lemonisdead,

Samsung allows it to be done by pulling down from the top of the screen and tapping the "plane" icon. Does that mean we are locked out but only Samsung programmers are allowed to do it?

It's not fair for an operating system that used to be open source.
I hope they will release it so we can do that again.

Samsung allows it to be done by pulling down from the top of the screen and tapping the "plane" icon
but the USER MUST click on it. It is not done automatically/programatically.

I hope they will release it so we can do that again.
Don´t expect this. I guess it will not happen as google has removed the possibility (do it programatically) from Android.

Oh well, wishful thinking on my part.

At least I'm able to turn down the volume levels of all the system sounds except for the Alarms. Seems Samsung or maybe Google over-rides the volume level I set when it's time to sound the alarms. It would be nice if I can disable that one.
