Android Question Value alignment in cell (scroll view list)

I have single column list where the text is aligned to left by using the "gravity.left" code.
There are other options such as "gravity.Right" and Center.
Would like to move(align) the text little bit to the right (from left).
Thought I had seen somewhere in the forum about this but can't find it again.
Anyway to handle specific alignments as described above.?
