Android Question Alarm Clock service question

I need my service to run all the time. What I need is that when the specified time comes my app opens up. Someone said that I had to use an notification for this. But When you set the built in Alarm clock there is a notification in the title for that. Is there a way to user that same Icon notification.? When I set the Pandora alarm it uses the same icon.

Hey Erel, I need a service to be running and then when the clock reaches the alarm time I need to open my app up. Got any examples of that?
