iOS Question b4i local mac builder compile error

Hello,

we do not have ipad, so we need the simulator. We have installed the local b4i mac builder on a mac. The fact is when compiling we see the following error, which as we have seen in the forum it is because we should have installed xcode 9, however we have a macbook pro version 10.11.6, with xcode 8.2.1, and the xcode 9 can only be installed from 10.13. There is some alternative way to use the simulator with a hosted builder?
