Seeing the IDE is based on C#, .NET Framework and a third party editor based on WPF I expect that the likelihood is about 0%.

Not really. Both C# and .NET are already cross platform capable thus the only thing holding B4X from becoming cross-platform back is the third party editor; of which there is a cross-platform (and FOSS) alternative.

XCode would be perfect to build a B4X editor, since the translator from basic to Java should be easy to port to C, Swift or to Objective/C

For me Xcode is easy and not heavy and it would be excellent if Mac users could have a MacOS version of B4X, without need to buy a PC to use B4X.
In my company we only use PC's for B4A... All the iOS development have been done for years with Objective-c and now with Switf that is super easy to code.
It would be perfect if the code B4X development team release an MacOS version of B4X IDE!
An now with M1, Xcode fly! the power of a simple MacBook Air or a Mac mini is impressive when compared with the PC's.
Now it's a great moment to have an Arm MacOS version of B4X!
