Android Question Can an app be limited to a single smartphone?

Yes, one model only. Specifically, the Droid Turbo. I know I can limit to an OS version but I want to only have an app for the Droid Turbo smartphone.

This relates to paid apps with licensing. If the user pays for an app, they must be able to install it on all devices they own. The app would be free so not sure if the policy would still apply since there is no licensing, etc.

Check your Developer Console, under APK you will see SUPPORTED DEVICES, there you can enable/disable the devices you want.

Thanks NJDude, I missed that option. Looks like I would have to uncheck 7,789 devices to do what I want. There doesn't appear to be a select all option. Maybe less if I limit to Kit Kat and the US.

You could test for phone make and model using the phone library and only allow the app to run if it matches.
