Java Question Customer Driver Development in Android

Dear Members,

We want to develop custom device drivers for Android. We
want to find out whether it is possible to develop custom
device drivers for Android or not. For example under
Windows Phone you cannot do custom driver development as
far as we know. So is this also the case with Android or
whether Android allows custom driver development. We want
to develop a custom RAMDISK for Android. Some references
will also be helpful.

It is not possible unless you are building the ROM yourself.
