GetDataState Issue

Hi,

I am using phone.GetDataState to check if I have a data connection but I seem to have a problem.

Say my app is running and I have a connection. I then put the device into Airplane mode and run my app again - now the app says 'DISCONNECTED' - great so far.

Now I turn off airplane mode, wait for my phone to connect to wifi, check the browser is working and try my app again. Still says disconnected. Even if I force the app to close and restart it still says disconnected.

The only way I have found to get it to say connected is to restart the device.

Any ideas?

The value is retrieved directly from the Telephony service. It is not cached.

You can use ServerSocket to check whether the device has a valid IP address.

... or wi-fi could be the problem, since I get "CONNECTED" if I use an emulator !
