label in code module

I have an app with serveral modules. I am creating a code module that will contain several functions used in the other activity modules. I first created a function in the first activity module and it works great. It is using is using a form that I created with the designer. Several labels. When I put the functions in the code module, none of the labesl work. It says "layout not available". Can the labels be made available in the code module?

Code modules cannot "own" Labels or any other view. You can pass them in as method parameters though.
