B4J Question marking thousands lines of code as comments

is such an action (in the middle of a sub) make the debug mode running/compilation/build/whatever slower ?

If you have a Sub with 'thousands of lines of code' in it your program is in serious need of reorganising!

It will not have any effect on the runtime / debug behavior. Thousands of lines should also have no significant effect on the IDE.
