NJDude Expert Licensed User Longtime User Aug 1, 2011 #1 Java was updated to version 1.7.0 and now B4A is not compiling, I keep getting this error: Code: Copy Compiling generated Java code. Error javac 1.7.0 javac: target release 1.5 conflicts with default source release 1.7 What's the solution, downgrade? Thanks.

Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Aug 1, 2011 #2 Basic4android was not tested with Java 7. I'm not sure that the Android SDK works with it at all. You can however have multiple versions of Java installed on the same computer. You should configure Basic4android to use Java 6 for now. Upvote 0

Dave O Well-Known Member Licensed User Longtime User Jun 2, 2014 #4 @Erel, does B4A now work with Java 7 (or whatever the latest is)? I'd like to update Java on my computers, but I don't want to break B4A. Upvote 0
