Android Question New to Basic

Dear Erel
I am, most probably doing something stupid as I an totally new to Basic.
See attached project , It is based on the Arduino Bluetooth sample.

Go to the last three functions in Main.

VolageCal_FocusChanged and Transmit_Click work perfectly and the data reaches my HC06 based hardware.

Trying the very same code from the MainTimer_Tick generates the error in the Jpg.

Please advise

Remove the ConnectedF variable. It doesn't store the correct state.

Use Starter.connected instead to know whether there is a connection or not:

If Starter.Connected = True Then
'Or
If Starter.Connected Then
