iOS Question Open external file

I have followe this tutorial and it works.
I receive the attachment by email. Long-clicking on the file, after choosing "share, other, my app" the app is started and the event generated.
But if I come back to the Mail app, the screen is again there where i left it and I have to close/cancel/back to return to the mail.
Is it the expected behaviour ?
