iOS Question Publishing Apps

Hi Guys,

I bought Asp hosting from Asphostportal.com and I have an application that will be used by employees of the company. I found this posting:

"The App Store is a great way to reach hundreds of millions of people around the world. If you build an app that you just want to show to family and friends, the App Store isn’t the best way to do that. Consider using Xcode to install your app on a device for free or use Ad Hoc distribution available to Apple Developer Program members. "

Is that true? Is there an alternative way to provide customers a B4I application without it being published in the App Store?

why are you looking for a different way? only to save 99$ per year?
if you are selling a product to a costumer you should also calculate the cost of the yearly fee to apple.
there may be a way to install IPA files on a jailbroken iphone but why deal with it?
99$/year is really not much. you can cover that cost easily with 1-2 apps that have ads on it.
