Android Question #R8 and Base64Convert

Finally tracked down where my dropdown routine is crashing and it turns out when I am calling DecodeToImage

getting this error

java.lang.RuntimeException: Method: _v5 not found in: R1.a

does Base64Convert need an update to work with #R8

AddProguardText(
-keep class com.simplysoftware.base64convert.base64convert {*;}
)

Seems to work fine. Needed to add this to the library that and compile it with #R8 thanks

I've added the SS_Base64Convert.proguard file to the original post with the following line inserted into it.

-keep class com.simplysoftware.base64convert.base64convert {*;}

I've tested the library with and without SS_Base64Convert.proguard file, it's working exactly as expected.

I noticed the other day that there were quite a few questions regarding decoding base64 image stings, so I quickly put together this simple but effective base64 encode/decode images library for others to use. I will be turning more of my simple but useful routines to libraries, but not too many...

I've added the SS_Base64Convert.proguard file to the original post with the following line inserted into it.

This is a good solution. Another option is to recompile the library. The compiler will generate the proguard file automatically.
