Android Question Setting properties for each view

Hi,
I need to run on all views in a panel
and if the view is a button or label, then I need to change its font size or the typeface.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible and how

This code will not work because a panel is a view and not an array or list and "for each" need to look inside a list.

So you have to add .getallviewsrecursive.

    For Each v As View In panel1.GetAllViewsRecursive
        If v Is Label Then 'Label and Button will be executed
            Dim lbl As Label = v
            '....
        End If
    Next

Note that if there is a button the if you ask if the view is a label it will return true since a button is basically a label.

That's an important point.

Note however that you can write: For Each v As View in Panel (or Activity). It will iterate over their direct child views.

You can use GetType to know "exactly" what type it is:

Yes, you cannot have a B4AView in a panel, but you could have (use):

 Dim B4XV As B4XView
B4XV = Button1
Log(GetType(B4XV))

in other cases.

My post was just to suggest GetType.

I will use this opportunity to clarify about B4XView:

Log(V Is B4XView) 'will always be true as any view can be assigned to B4XView
Log(GetType(V).Contains("B4XView")) 'will always be false as there is no such native type.
