Question: Do I need to set up a provisioning profile for each APP during development, or can I use the same provisioning profile for several APP’s during development?

I assume a different provisioning profile per application is neccesary for distribution via the AppStore of Apple?

Use a wildcard app id: *

It will allow you to use the same provision profile for all applications. You can also use a single store provision profile.

The only case where you need an explicit app id (provision profile for specific app) is if you are using push notifications or in app purchases.
