It may be possible BUT NOT DIRECTLY FROM THE USB PORT!
You will always need a circuit to convert the serial output into usable data and vice-versa.
take the ioio board as an example. You comunicativa with it using USB or Bluetooth and it converts the commands sent into electronic usable data.
