Why the label can not put to correct layer?

The image can not post

I have used sent to back or bring to front to set the sequence of labels, but it doesn't work.

Why?

Copy & paste the image (CTRL+C CTRL+V) but it should be max 512Kb.

The question is not clear enough; anyway, try to move (drag & drop) the views in the "Views tree" tab:

i want to set the label with 8:00 on the top. i use bring to front., but the result is as the picture. it stay behind to the button 40\50\80...etc.

but for some view, it does, label TRIP A for ex.

is "8:00" a label or it is on a panel? If it is a panel you should change its Elevation:

(or by code: pnlXXX.Elevation = 5).

it is a label. i don't use panel, i think unnecessary to use it because i only want to display sth when need.

and why some views like label TRIP A(in the image, it is under the 8:00 label) are ok but Buttons not?

maybe i should try panel.

btw, on some device it works correctly.

Elevation was added from Android 5.

You should "play" with the views tree and, at run time, with BringToFront and SendToBack, if needed.

Buttons have built-in elevation of 2dip. If you want to put a view above a button then you should put it inside a panel and set the panel's elevation to 2 or more (in the designer).

but panel can not totally "cover" the buttons. when click at panel where the position is the same of a button, the button will be pressed.

and i am about to ask the question that IDE recommends to change targetSdkVersion from 19 to 26, after changing, the themes becomes to white, i see this: android.jar / targetSdkVersion / minSdkVersion.
