Android Question Another Filewrite Permission question

First of all,

I have read the following topics about Persmissions:

But none of them make sense to me how to visualize this into my project.
Adding permission lines to the manifest did not work.

like:

All I want to do is save the following to cfg.txt

    List1.Add(Timeslot_Spinner3.SelectedIndex)

    List1.Add(Timeslot_Spinner6.SelectedIndex)

and get this error.

java.io.FileNotFoundException: /storage/emulated/0/cfg.txt (Permission denied)

this is my Manifest:

I have been struggling for more than a week with this.. and read it lots of times..

But there is an example with googlemaps.
But I dont see (Visual) how this relates with saving a file.

For some people it is enough to visualize things from text, but unfortunally not for me.

A pinpoint in the good direction would be much apreciated.

i already gave you the correct pinpoint!

Watch the Runtimepermissions tutorial. It is shown in the video.
You need to request the permission, wait for the result and can use this path if the Permission is given.

You should remove this snippet:

AddManifestText(<uses-permission
android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"
android:maxSdkVersion="18" />
)

It is only needed when you only access RuntimePermissions.GetSafeDirDefaultExternal.
