app name change by code?

Is it possible to dynamically change the app label? Id like to append some short text to the app name depending on the app status.

That didn't work. I changed it but the name under the app icon on the home page didn't change. My app label by default is "UV5 Pro" and when I make a selection when the app is running and I select a High setting, I want the app label to be "UV5 Pro High". This way, the user can see what the current setting is just by looking at the icon text on the home page.

I dont think that is possible.
It needs to be a different package/app. You cannot change the name in the Launcher since it is set in the manifest file I think.
