Hello,

Recently I started working on B4A again, and I upgraded to B4A 5.50. Whenever I close B4A and restart my computer, the next time I open B4A, the app crashes at startup with this error:
Description:
Stopped working

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: Basic4android.exe
Application Version: 4.3.0.0
Application Timestamp: 54d9d359
Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll
Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.18933
Fault Module Timestamp: 55a69ec4
Exception Code: e0434f4d
Exception Offset: 0000c42d
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033
(Windows 7 sp1)

If I re-install B4A, it works again until next windows restart. I never had any problem before. Also please note that B4J works without problems.

Thanks for your help

Jmon.

yes still using windows 7 and it's updated through windows updates. I can't find higher service pack than SP1?
I scanned my computer for viruses but didn't find anything. I know that "jeefo" infects exe files which causes them to crash at startup, but I know how to recognize this virus, and this time it's not the case.

I'll try with an older version of b4a and see what happens.

Also regarding the kernelbase.dll error look at this:
Changing user account worked, so that lead me to search what was wrong with my current profile.
So I uninstalled B4A, and deleted this folder : C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Anywhere Software\Basic4android
Reinstalled and it worked as before, without crashes.

Thanks for your help.
