I've suggested this before, so I found a master programmer who had 20 years of BASIC programmming expericence and has written books on the subject. The below book I read and is top notch (I have read several books on VB and this is a easy one to learn from). Here's a suggestion to contact about getting a professional book made about b4a. Only Erel can do this. I did send him an email about this, but really this has to go through Erel. I cant even figure out how to get a database going to finsih a program i wrote.

The offer of a free upgrade from the older book Basic4Android to the new book B4A will end on 3 July 2015.
However anyone who purchases the new book will be entitled to free upgrades to new editions of the book.
The upgrade is available from

The electronic editions of the new book are available here, and also from Amazon.

Hi Philip, I get on 29 may 2015, and when I get it I receive an email with the book in 3 file type (.pdf, mobi and ), in the upgrade I only will be get in 1 format file, if I try with the others, say my transfer was upgraded or something like this.

I ask for this, becuase If I'm on PC I prefer PDF files, but if I'm in Kindle I use it.

At present, everyone can only download one copy of the new book.
After 3 May, people who have bought the new book (B4A) will be entitled to download all formats.
If you want another format now, please send an email to [email protected] copying your details from your post above and we will sort you out.

In fact I get the Transaction ID by searching my old email :) luckily I didn't delete it.

A new edition of B4A by Wyken Seagrave has just been released. It is available in 3 electronic versions: PDF, MOBI (for Kindle) and EPUB.
People who bought it from thePenny Press Store can obtain a free upgrade to the latest edition by visiting theupgrade website.
Those who bought the Kindle version fromAmazonshould receive an automatic upgrade.

The paperback version will be available very shortly.

What has been updated in the July version of B4A that was not in the June version? Just want to know if I need to get the July version.

The whole book has been checked for accuracy and clarity of explanation.
Extensive revision of Drawing and Graphics chapter, with flowcharts to illustrate how data flows between image objects.
Many improved explanations including how to implement a database relationship, the meaning of JSON, updated list of app publishers etc.
Improved quality of many icons and images.

Do you know the difference between the above book and the one talked about in this thread? The one I cited is a later publication and has a different title. Can I assume that the updated version of the eBook talked about in this thread has all the information found in the the one I cited?

Why don't you order it directly from the publisher? Penny something...

There should be a link here on the b4a site, under documentation for b4a.

They seem to only offer the older one. Probably because it's not in eBook format, or even paperback. At least on Amazon.
