I will there were more version of this great product. How about a Basic4Linux or a Basic4Windows?

Basic4ppc produces quite nice Windows applications that will run on the desktop, expecially if you use my desktop-specific libraries.

For Windows exists Visual Basic .NET, while in Linux exists Gambas. Althought in Linux you can use Python + QT (also in windows with the same code).
