LucaMs Expert Licensed User Longtime User Feb 6, 2014 #1 I read [Server] Data Collection Solution - Device, Desktop and Web reports I would like to ask under what circumstances it might be useful (although technically I like it very much). I ask this because: might be enough a home server to handle connections from the apps sold (using a db server instead of SQLite)? What should be the minimum ADSL bandwidth? Thanks. P.S. thinking a little more: it can be useful to install a complete solution to a customer (for example, for a restaurant, the clients (devices) to the waiters) Last edited: Feb 6, 2014

Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Feb 7, 2014 #2 You can use such a server for both an intranet (local) solution and an internet (external) solution. The bandwidth required depends on the data that you plan to send and receive. Most sites run on very limited virtual servers together with many other sites. You can easily build a much more powerful server. Some numbers are available here: [Server] Performance measures Upvote 0

You can also use almost any standard hosting service to host the server. A VPS account (virtual private server) is usually required. It should cost about $30+ per month. Upvote 0
