Hmm lets see,
  • I like to go cycling on my mountain bike, especially during the weekends, I'm getting older and need to keep fit now.
  • 3D flying my 450 size RC heli. It takes along time to learn how to fly 3D, I practice on Phoenix RC 5 a lot.
  • I play snooker, yes it's 71 before anybody asks.
  • Walking (but only in the summer).
  • Cooking, I enjoy creating new recipes from scratch, I have 30+ herbs and spices in the kitchen.
  • Repairing TV's is a hobby whenever I get the chance.
  • Basic home made and designed electronics projects.
Hmm, that's about it.

I have several hobbies besides coding:
  • I like playing with microcontrollers and make some small projects, I have a mini robot wich I'd like to finish some day...
  • I like classic arcade games, I even made an arcade cabinet some years ago
  • I also like playing modern games in my PS4
  • I play pool, I've even played in some national tournaments (not won anything)
  • I also train kickboxing, although now I'm stopped due to a small injury (a crack in a rib)
  • Of course, I like Netflix and I like to be lying on the sofa watching a movie...
And I think that's all, I only wish the day could have more hours...

Hi,
Like most of you, coding is not my main job, I have a rotative shifts work.
I also live in a house, in the country, with 2 little demons of 7 and 2 and a wife that never gets tired of adding thing to the TO-DO list so I try to spend the most time possible with the boys, playing with them, and also, learning a lot, especially in how stupid become the adults...
I also have been linked on football referee for the last 24 years, 21 as a referee and now as a "informant", this means i have to go to see a football match and take note of referee's performance, fill a report and putting a note that counts for their promotion.
I also like to play padel or squash with friends and, from time to time, ride my mountain bike and break some trees... :D

Regards.

My main job is in the visual effects industry {edit: computer graphics} (you can see some of my work: www.jmontserrat.com). I use coding to develop tools that help my team in our daily tasks.

I was always more on the artist side of things (photography, drawing, sculpture ...etc...), And it's still my main hobby. But a few years ago I discovered scripting and programming and really loved it as another form or creativity. I have a young boy and hope to teach him B4J when he gets a bit older :)

Recently with some friends, our main hobby is 3d scanning and 3d printing. B4J is the base of all we do to control our scanner and printers. Also all the tools at work are either from B4J, b4a and b4r :-D . Soon I'll share more about that in the "share your creation" forum.

I like to make pizzas too, that seems to be something everyone has in common here :)

Very nice video of the VolksWagen Teramont ... but .. I did not understand what character you play in the video?
In this case, the chameleon :). The chameleon was created and animated in 3d. I make computer graphics. So anything that cannot be shot on camera, too expensive or too complicated, we do them in post-production. I am more specialized in animals, character animation and cars, but can do other stuff like fluids, explosions or anything else.

Well, my hobbies are relative with music and with my daughter!
I'm writing lyrics and I have two courses for piano and electric guitar in progress!
I hope one day I could make my own music for my lyrics.
I'm playing with my daughter too and I'm in a rush to get many house tasks done!
I'm not making pizzas but my meatballs are very delicious!

Wait...there are things besides coding?
Sadly, yes.

Work: HR/Payroll/Regular IT. Coding is on a lower priority than the other three, but I try to squeeze some in here and there.

At home: Plumbing (replacing my galvanized piping with PEX. Installing whole house water filter) (I'm not a plumber), figuring out how to add kitchen/bath/bedroom in basement (I'm not a carpenter/electrician/plumber), setting up a used computer and switching my wife back from Android to iOS are sucking up my time currently. Spending time with family and kids also has a higher priority. Plus, now and then I just like to be plain lazy.

Road cycling. Out with the bunch this morning for 70km in 35C/95% humidity and got home looking like a wet mop. Research at the local Uni and some regular tutoring and demonstrating in Physics. Always looking for more because it is really very satisfying. Most of my students are studying engineering and I seem to come across as "that crusty old engineer who has been everywhere and done everything". Anyway, I enjoy telling them lots of stories. I do a bit of flying and a lot of radio controlled flying - F3A aerobatics but also helicopters and jets. I do lots of "maker" stuff too, mostly embedded controller designs and stuff for RC. Hanging out with my son too when he is home and watching him race whenever I can. I don't ride with him any more, not since he became a World Champion (he and his mates won't ride with old guys - they are too slow), but he is fun to watch in what is surely a very rough, body contact sport. So coding is just an adjunct to what I do, professionally and as a hobby. I just seem to have always done it since the days of writing machine code on old computers that filled entire rooms. Now I feel old....
