I have a growing (not fact based enough) feeling that schools are one of the major causes for the wide spreading. It is a combination of:
- High congestion.
- Kids are more asymptomatic which means it is more difficult to detect the infection and cut the chain. The infection rate will be high.
- Kids are less likely to keep "social distance" and wear the mask for many hours.
- This is a very heterogenic grouping.
There is a scale here that goes between a family on one side, friends / colleagues in the middle and completely "random" people on the other side.
This is the case with schools were many kids from all over the area are gathered and a single infected kid or teacher can infect dozens of families.

Mainly the fault of the reopening of schools.
Postponing a school year would have caused enormously less damage than what is happening and will happen.
Thanks Luca.

The situation here is indeed not good.
The small rising on the left is the first wave and now we are in a much worse situation. There are many reasons for that, not just the schools.

Being William Shakespeare the second in line we could expect at least a sonnet if not a full play

Today I and my family became part of the statistics. We tested positive today after a few days of mild illness. We are all well so far, so don't worry. But it feels somehow weird to be part of the daily infection numbers which are revealed every day at 14.00

No. Our best guess is from our daughter's school or my wife's work. She is physiotherapist and can have had a infected client. But it's just guesswork, we have no real clues.
