Gossip Protcol

Hi there...

There are some great examples of users... creating blockchains... but there isn't a way sharing those blockchains with other nodes... will be easy using mqtt doing some share but is like reinventing another way of it.. but also read for gossip protocol - that's the reason created that "post" - wish (not so a wish - but a chat to analyse it)

Here you can read about gossip protocol:

I know that is not new... it is something... like p2p - torrents...

The reason starting a thread like that... is because i want a better way for "backup" (cloud p2p) and not creating a cryptocurrency..

Did anyone created ever a gossip protocol or someway used it ?
What do you believe about this technology ?
Will be better using MQTT, web servers ?
What about odyssey (some saying that will be the new youtube) - do you know it - what's the way sharing videos and what helps that in real numbers and bandwidth ? - does it cost more or actually helps to be a lightweight system?
Benefits... ?
Why not using it ?

Also found this...
and I am thinking try it... what do you think about it ?

What a bad naming? I am confused what it is. It sounds like an unreliable algorithm with unpredictable results.

Bitcoin using it...
Also torrent p2p...
I see.
Ya, blockchain doesn't expect all nodes or peers to receive the message. It just want the fastest node to verify the hashes. So, some peers will be left out and the message is only kept for a short period of time.

blockchain... and cryptocurrency have also miners... that is for extra verifying and creating hashes for extra security too... without knowing for what creating hashes every time :)... decentralized... At bitcoin and cryptos general there are nodes and miners (that also nodes)... Nodes are always on (or at least trying for it)...

So for a backup system like that... i would like to have nodes (always on - at least the time of working)... more than one 2-3... and why not all the seats of a company network... or local servers if there are many points...
