Laser engraving machines

Hi guys,

who has experience with laser engraving machines and can tell me whether such engraving on PETG plastic is possible?

If so, which machine would be suitable for this?
The engraving size should be about 100x100mm.

Can such a machine be suitable for this?

@Filippo Hi there... a friend of mine have a laser engraving printer...

1) First of all it is too slow for a 20cmx20cm (clock-draw-latin-letters) needed about 9 hours for engraving at wood
2) You can engrave almost at any material... but need several tests... (he tried at leather, wood, silicon plastic...) ofcourse no at glass, mirror or metalic surface....

General I suggest to select one with plastic-pvc-windows (with color of laser) arround it - because is dangerous... and may damage your skin, also it was very slow.... and need several test to be sure for the result ...

i would suggest you to buy a 3d printer and put a laser on it. like this you have also a 3d printer and not only a laser machine. the price should not be to much different.
i have the creality 3 v2 and a laser tool would cost around 50$.

I already have 2x 3d printers from Anycubic and do not necessarily want another one.
A 3d printer with a laser was also my first thought, then I saw that you always have to install and remove the laser, and I did not like that.

I think I will buy a laser from Amazon and test it. If I am not satisfied, then I will send it back.
