Retirement - what do you do with your apps?

So, I'm almost at that age... getting ready to retire.

I have a handful of apps in iOS and Android stores, they don't earn much but have a lot of potential. What would you do in my case?

Anyone interested in making me an offer for the app code? I don't want years of coding to wither and die

maintenance of your apps requires all your daily hours?
do you plan not to have any spare time to maintain them?
i think you should list the apps you are planning to sell, for anyone interested in evaluating an offer.

I'm thinking of writing one final app (a game) for fun. I only want casual maintenance, it won't be my job any more.

All of my current apps will be available - you can see links in my signature.

Hello Mike,
Retirement in the UK is an expensive experience, even with three or four nice pensions. Keep your mind and body active, I would if I were you.

Go for it, but take your time, there is no rush is there.

Just keep active Mike, keep active if possible

Retirement is great when you no longer have to go to work.
But the amount of your pension doesn't allow you to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. You have to make choices.
To avoid having to make these choices, it's better to have a little extra every month.
So, personally, I would keep my apps on the stores.

Thanks guys. I wasn't really asking for retirement advice, Im OK there. Just contemplating what to do with my apps.

Ahh.. so good feeling, when one retires.
But if one is Android guy with apps on Gplay, will G let him rest ?
No Sir. New SDK and app must support it by Month, Year !
Or else, forget all and just retire.

I was forced into retirement early when the war started but with that said I offically retire next year.
Anything I wanted to live I put on GitHub and open sourced it. Still have old code to do.
That way it will live if anyone one wants it.

An option is to sell accounts and source code... sell the business... I actually understand that this is your pre-selected option...
I think that is better to present your work, apps, screenshots of app stores, share also a screenshot with your gain-earning

In any case, What's interesting is retirement isn't what people expect it's going to be.

The Pennyworth - every bit of supplementary income is useful - my brother - in - law's apocryphal comment was - the money changes when you retire....so, why not keep the apps where they are (the upkeep might be minimal).

There again, if, maybe you're saying you're done with coding, then - goto - above comments.
