I hope you have learned a precious life lesson today?
Mind to share with us?

I just watched a video something related to the question of will AI surpassed human intelligence?
The speaker mentioned about "Is 0 to 1 more important than 1 to 100?"

I googled the meaning.
I think this is something that we need to take a minute to think.

Forget about the importance of it first.
I think for most people, moving from 0 to 1 is very difficult.
For me, It means you are creating something that never existed to something people can see and use.

People just see the product when it's ready but when it was in version 0.01, 0.5, 0.95 no one cares.

What's your thought?

I think that the "Version name" is just marketing... sometimes "we" (i mean all of us - developers) - starting something like: alpha / beta version or having 0.0.1... because in real - we are not ready / but we are happy for our "product".. and we are sure that this will have bugs / not works as we thought 100%...

So Sometimes... is better not using version numbers but a Version Name like MacOS "Sierra"... MacOS Captain... etc
or a year...

Yes, is difficult to say that moving from 0.0.1 to v1... but you can "jump" or write it at a small label... behind from an image :) Build Version [00000001]

And the most important... is that... you have it on your title... What I've learned today?... every day ... we learn... and if that happens every day... is very good... the bad is when we can't learn... from life, from others, from bad times.. every lesson is useful.. and every experience too..

I am a typical case of "0 to 0.1" and once I can see that it is possible, or just too difficult or above my knowledge level, I just stop that "project" and start another...
The closest I would say I ever got to 1 was about 0.8 or 0.9...
Maybe I am too hard on myself, too perfectionist, and nothing will ever be 1.0... Or maybe I just like the challenge, and once I see I CAN do it, I just abandon it....
Anyway, I often find myself restarting old projects, that i had gotten to, lets say, 0.3 or 0.4 and then take it a small step further... and drop it once again...

Anyway.... I try to achieve 3 things each day... Teach something , Learn something and Make someone smile!

I think the meaning is that starting something is harder than keeping up the momentum or the first step is the hardest.
Momentum is second and just part of the hard things when it has already started. The first thing is the spark of fire. Then they would be other challenges like financial support, resources, expertise, failures, pressure, critism, politics or third parties intervention, etc.

Momentum is second
Sorry but I can't agree.... without momentum, any projects stalls, and eventually dies....
However, momentum may not be what you expect!
Most people will take as momentum, the fact that they were able to go from 0.1 to 0.6 without hitting any major issues or difficulties...
For, it's the other way around.... I take "momentum" on the challenges, like my last few ABMaterial threads.... I have ask for help and received it, on a few (most) of them, but then, like in the z-order, the suggestion doesn't not work, and that drives me to explore why, what is missing, and when I get that to work, as I did, I share the new found knowledge and take that "momentum" to advance another notch..
So momentum, although not the only factor to get you from 0 to 0.1, IS an important factor

My point is apply to bigger and wider picture. Like a business, a company and overall invention.
