Hello Paul,
Excluding members from being able to read content about B4X on a B4X forum is not correct!
This isn't really about the current B4X members (even though they can join too), it's really about attracting new B4X members to this community. We do however encourage current B4X members to help spread the word about B4X on the Facebook group. This new B4X Facebook group is all about attracting new B4X members from other sources, for example from other Facebook groups. The new B4X Facebook group is hopefully going to attract developers who are looking for a cross-platform development solution that's simple to learn, has a world class support network, and doesn't have too much overhead. Hopefully, that means all roads lead to b4x.com.

As you and other current B4X developers are already valued members of b4x.com, you already know all the positive benefits of being part of this excellent forum, others don't. The newly formed, evergrowing B4X Facebook group is more about attracting potential new developers from other sources, including other Facebook groups.

Links from here (b4x.com) to there (the newly formed Facebook group) are purely intended to encourage current b4x.com members to join the group (obviously they don't have to do so), post screenshots of their apps and photographs of their projects (especially B4R), share links back to 'share your creations', and hopefully talk about their positive experiences on the forum. There are other things happening in the background that will hopefully help the Facebook group attract new (non-B4X) members, ultimately leading them here.

Oops, that was an extremely long reply ;)

Thank you for you feedback, cheers 🥂

The goal is to spread B4X
I've only just taking you out of my ignore list as I replace you with someone else last week.

You need to read my message correctly and take in everything that I said. How do you suggest spreading B4X, and why are you not doing it then, outside of this forum?

As you and other current B4X developers are already valued members of b4x.com, you already know all the positive benefits of being part of this excellent forum, others don't.
I deliberately added the statement above to my reply, that you conveniently ignored at your pleasure. I even made sure to use the words valued members.

so anyone should be able to read and therefore evaluate and appreciate that content, don't you think?
Basically everything that is being said on the B4X Facebook group, has in one way or another already been said on this forum. The Facebook group is just helping to amplify the messages

Enjoy...

The point is that current members can't read the list because they are not a member of the Facebook group you link to.
Just publish the list here so that non-Facebook B4X members can read it!
It's just amplifying on another platform what developers already know on here. It's cross platform, it's has a drag and drop designer, it has great support, it's kept up to date, it has intellisense, the ide is multiple language, push notifications, process json and API data, it assembles into native, it creates small execution files that runs quickly and efficiently, it has a debugger, lots of libraries, it's language is VB-Like blah blah blah etc etc etc, this is for other developers outside of this great forum Paul. Well known developers on here have posted screenshots of their app on Fb that are already on here, it's just an amplifier Paul, nothing more, nothing less. You already know what's on there, we would like B4X developers to post on there if at all possible. Literally everything I've posted on there I've already posted on here or developers on here already know about.

It's not my fault if people don't have a Facebook account. Personally I only use Facebook for my business, I DON'T use a personal Facebook account on there. I have all my friends and family at the end of a phone call, I have absolutely no desire to post what I'm doing online, or to read what others are doing on social media sites. Actually there are no photographs of me on Facebook, Twitter etc etc etc anywhere. Once about 20 years ago I received a text message from a friend saying that I was tagged in a photograph. I asked my friend Andy (who put me on Fb) to remove it and he did, it was a night out photograph, he replaced it with another photograph without me in it.

I see where you are coming from Paul, I really do. But literally everything that is posted on the B4X Facebook group is either already known or is just repeated links to screenshots or libraries on this very forum. I for one will not be posting twice as it's not necessary, but I can and do 100% see where you are coming from.

But saying that...
I created this because I was bored, it about 30 minutes in GIMP.
This is on the B4X Facebook group and not on here, well it is now.

Once again, everyone on here already knows that B4X is cross platform.

Anyways I'm going out on a canal bike ride, 20 miles should just about do it for today, then I'll come back and start work.

Don't take what I said the wrong way Paul, and enjoy your day. Please ignore the typos in any of my posts, I'm typing on my phone.

Cheers 🥂

For those who are so veneer about the Topic of this thread, here is the integral text of the Facebook Group Posting And my 2 cents about the ongoing discussing in this thread:

🚀
Development Power & Flexibility:
1. Cross-platform development. Build for Android, iOS, desktop, and web from a single codebase. - Since this is the B4X forum, This one is one of those things that, if you haven't yet discovered, then what the hell are you doing here?

2. Open-source tools. Most B4X products are completely free and open-source, which encourages accessibility. - Again, read my opinion on reason #1

3. Rapid prototyping. Create functional apps quickly and efficiently with little to no boilerplate. - Yeah... again, It's a RAD! opinion #1 still applies!

4. Visual Designer. Design sleek UIs with the drag-and-drop interface, which accelerates UI/UX development. - You guessed it... opinion #1

5. B4XPages framework. Simplifies cross-platform development and app structure. - hmmmm, I don't know.... didn't Erel address this already? btw, see opinion #1

🧠
Language & Syntax:
6. Uses VB-like syntax. Easy to learn, especially for beginners or those familiar with VB. - I really hate to repeat myself, but.... yah, opinion #1

7. Readable code. Clean structure that promotes maintainability. - How good a Programmer are you????

8. Supports libraries and modules. Keep projects modular and scalable. - sh........t, go back to #1

9. Multilingual support. Works with Java (Android), Objective-C (iOS), and others behind the scenes. - Well, you should have guessed by now....#1

🔧
Tools & IDE:
10. Integrated IDE. Feature-rich and purpose-built for B4X. - Yes, the one you use with B4X products! Who would have guessed it?

11. Code debugger. Track issues quickly with the built-in debugging tools. - This is a hard one, isn't it?

12. Code completion and insights. Smart suggestions that boost productivity. - Hmmm... you use the IDE, right?

13. Remote compilation. Compile iOS code without a Mac via the Anywhere Software hosted build servers. - OK, this is a oddball, as it applies only to B4i... so who doesn't use it may not be aware of this... but he should!

🌐
Connectivity & Functionality:
14. REST and JSON integration. Build apps that talk to web services with ease. - Yes, It Can! But this you already know, right?

15. MQTT and WebSockets. Real-time data streaming and processing capabilities. - See opinion #14

16. Database connectivity. Easily integrates with SQLite, MySQL, and more.- Opinion #14!!!!!!!!!

17. Built-in sensors support. Harness GPS, accelerometer, camera, etc. - if it targets Android and iOS devices... they all have this hardware to be called "Smart Phones", or they wouldn't be that smart without!

📱
App Performance & Features:
18. Lightweight apps. Efficient code structure leads to faster apps. - Well, this one depends on what you create, if its just a Tic-Tac-Toe game, or the next Mars Mission Control App, remember, even NASA uses B4X!!

19. Native features. Access native APIs for device specific functionality. - Dham.... isn't this the same as #17?

20. Push notifications. Integrated support for Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and remote notifications. - Google services for Google OS devices... who would have thought?

21. Background services. Run tasks even when the app is closed. - Again, see opinion #17

🌍
Community & Support:
22. Active online community. Thousands of users sharing libraries, code solutions and tips. - Don't you just love this community?

23. Extensive clear and documentation. Easily learn through guides, examples, and tutorials. - Hey, Klaus!!! This one is about you... or rather your booklets!

24. Frequent updates. Continuous improvements and new feature rollouts. - Several through out the years, every year since 2005!

25. Extremely helpful forums and expert feedback. Get answers straight from B4X experts, experienced users and the creator himself. - I better shut up now....!

Now, in a lighter note, and more seriously, The FACEBOOK Group was created, as already noted in this discussion, to try to raise awareness about the existence of B4X and it's IDE Suite. The Group is private to prevent less well intentioned people to come in and post things that are either inappropriate or out of the scope of the group's objective. The main idea behind this group is, if each member, considering that there are over 50 countries represented in this forum, is part of a software group of his own, being it local to his country, or international, his presence in both groups will automatically make our Group visible to these other groups, hopefully raising enough curiosity so that they join our group, even if just for a few minutes and discover B4X, eventually becoming a part of this great community!

Anything posted on our Facebook Group, except the "funny stuff", is either pointing to a post in the forum, thus already available to forum users, either related to B4X with the aim of raising interest for B4X, like the Post above created by Peter Simpson, which points the strong points of the B4X IDE suite, that are, or should be, already known by the forum members.
The Facebook Group is a complement, a place to advertise your creations, try to raise interest about an ongoing project of any particular member; In NO CASE it will be a place to post non B4X related info, or content that is not already available in the forum!

Everyone is welcome to join the Facebook group, No one is forced to, and although I have no official confirmation from EREL about this, I have noticed an increase in forum registrations, which I like to thing is in part due to our effort with this FB Group.

I hope This thread will be closed by @Erel, and if you find I was too visceral, please delete this post.

Ooh nooooooooo,
Erel should leave this thread open so others can share their views, which developers don't have to agree or disagree with, it really doesn't bother me.

I've noticed that some new members in the Facebook group answered 'No' to the question about whether they are already a member of b4x.com. Hopefully, they will join.

Right I'm off, I've not long got back from an excellent few frames if snooker at the club. I'm putting the cue away and using B4J for an hour :)

Dear B4X Community,

Let's please avoid quarrels and disagreements among ourselves. Instead, let's applaud and support anything that promotes B4X. If something doesn’t appeal to you, simply refrain from negative comments. (even if ..some... they are for making... fun... and make us laugh)

We need to look beyond personal interests if we want B4X to spread and for our community to grow stronger.

I truly appreciate the efforts to promote B4X on social media—even if, personally, I don't use them except for work purposes.
Whether the Group should be closed or open, or if an additional page for advertising the group is needed, these are topics worth discussing. However, this should never be a reason to ask tough questions or blame the creators.

B4X does not discriminate against anyone who wants to use it, and we should embody that same spirit within our community.

Let's keep supporting and growing together!
