There's been a lot of talking about taking B4X to "the next level"...

The Big question arises...
Where to create such a Poll?
The most logical place would be "forum discussion" but if I'm not mistaken, users are not notified of new threads created there (?)

Don't think so much.
I suggest in forum discussion.
Actually we don't need to worry if anyone miss this. We are going to have more after this. ?

You see, the first meeting may not be perfect. It is like the alpha version of our app. Then we fix the bugs. After a few iteration, we will do better and better.

Maybe we will encounter some issues, such as network, sound, insufficient time, someone speak too much, no one talking for long time, some one quarrelling due to a debating topic, etc then next round maybe we can suggest a host or moderator to control the situation. If we do it right, I am sure we can go further.

So, Why not take advantage of the new (or not so new) social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Intagram, TiK-Tok, etc...?

I completely agree 100% but only in certain circumstances and if promoted properly in the first place.

I have a couple of clients that use local social media people to help promote their businesses, not big social media promotion firms but just small self employed contractors. I was completely surprised to see what these small contractors can do both graphical and promotional wise when they pushed/promoted a couple of my clients companies via Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram, but not twitter.

One of my clients was doing really well through the website I designed for them. His teenage daughter said he should try social media, he was very skeptical but still gave it a go. After he found some independent social media guys to help promote his company, his sales shot up and his staff are busier than ever. His socials are also driving traffic to his company website.

The same with another client of mine that also now pushes his services via social media, he too uses some small local independent social media guys that also do great graphics for promoting via socials. All these nice images and graphics looks great on their socials whilst promoting their business, they too post on three social sites every week or two, sometimes multiple times a week.

I know that one of my clients tried Google Ad-Words and vowed never to use it again as it cost him thousands of pounds with very little results, and that clients prices are extremely keen with excellent service.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm NOT saying that social media is the smoking gun here, especially as I've also seen it not help companies at all. But I do believe that with the correct people handling socials, posting every few days with nice custom graphics (the way my clients do above) and doing it in the correct way. Utilising socials could be very beneficial for ones business, but only if one can find a good small independent social media expert that knows their stuff, yes it could help.

Please note:
I personally don't fully understand how all this social media promotion stuff works, I've not really looked into it very closely. Whenever I get a spare few days I do intend on looking more closely into social media promoting for businesses, but until then, I'll leave it to the experts that actually know what they are doing

Enjoy...

There is another thing call Influencer or KOL (Key Opinion Leader). Companies hire these people, already well known person, good looking model or good speaker to promote the product through these social platforms. People are easily influenced psychologically and follow the steps just like being hypnotised. Many people just blindly follow a mainstream trend which is fresh, unique and going viral. When people mind is expose to some concepts repeatedly, it will created an impression in their mind about the brand or product.
