I think that who invested in the early stage many years ago now is more than rich.
Nowadays they looks untouchable.
But I have no experience in such things.

Unfortunately, I only bought in July, but this investment has currently made 74% profit and at peak times in the last few weeks up to 90%. I just can't sell because otherwise I would have to pay taxes, so I have to wait until next July.

I bought 2 bitcoins 10 years ago. I paid 2€ for them. Today they are worth 2 million, tomorrow I will sell them.

There are 2 things in life we are certain about:
1. We will have to pay tax one way or another
2. We will die

But it is still better to sit and cry on the back seat of a Rolls Royce than on the seat of a bicycle 🤣

Come and live in Italy; once you pay your taxes, you have 2% of what you earned left 😂
Our tax base in SA consists of about 5 million people out of a population of 60 million people. We (tax payers) are being abused to the n'th degree. We know about being taxed. And probably not too much different from the rest of the world.

Agree from India.
You either have to be rich or poor to survive in India now.
Rest (us) are just wheat in between tax grind stones.

Are you invested in Bitcoin and did you get a decent return?
I'm never sure which one to call Bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

"The essential difference between the two frauds is that a Ponzi scheme generally only requires investment in something from its victims, with promised returns at a later pay date. Pyramid schemes, unlike Ponzi schemes, usually offer a victim the opportunity to “make” money by recruiting more people into the scam."

But, then, like you I live here in South Africa - so I would have to say that the most profitable investment is tenderentrepreneurship - or, just become a member of the parliament: Nothing to do plenty to earn (in both cases) - I reckon that would be cryptic enough for us both.....😇

not exactly... invested, invested on hardware (bought some ATI VGA on 2013 and minning them, for some months 7~10 bitcoints)....
I was selling them in some sites at 40~70$ !!! and i was happy... bitcoins... loosing their power and afraid for them... so when up (+5$) - fast selling them...

however lost ~7 bitcoins at a famous bitcoin exchanger... because one day suddenly found it closed :-(...

before 2,3 years had some 0.00025 btc at my local wallet (1/2 TB) - and sold them for some bucks !!

So if someone know the owner of this Famous site Exchange Closed - please inform him... that he owe me... at least 1/2 million $

Investing few dozens of dollars decades ago would be right thing and now one may only laughing. But than I personally did not even heard of Bitcoins. Investing few thousands 5 years back also would be right thing though we did not know for sure. Now it became way too risky - one need to invest few dozens of thousands because percentage-wise there is very little if any room to grow. And remember that Bitcoin is nothing, just zeroes and ones, it not supported by anything except of faith and all those billions of capitalization are someone's money and many of them lost forever for their previous owners. With Bitcoins it is very clear that all those gains of some is lost for someone else. It is a pyramid and it can collapse anytime. I do believe that starting from today people still can make a fortune on crypto, just remember it is not "investment", but rather sheer gambling. Happy to gamble on your house? Go ahead!
